"Every job I take on, I treat it like it's my own home."

How Alden Attic Insulation Was Born

Alden Attic Insulation started in 2002, but the idea behind it came from a much simpler moment. Bryce Holloway was working residential construction back then, and he kept walking through attics that were a mess. Fiberglass batts jammed into place, gaps around every vent, homeowners told their energy bills were “just how it is.” One afternoon he stood in a finished attic in a suburban neighborhood, mid-summer, and the heat coming through the ceiling was so bad the drywall felt warm to the touch. The homeowner had paid for insulation three years earlier. The job simply wasn’t done right.

That was the turning point. Bryce saw an industry that treated insulation as an afterthought, a quick job squeezed between bigger projects. Nobody explained anything. Nobody showed the homeowner what was actually in their attic. Nobody came back when the work failed. He decided to build something different: an insulation company that showed up when it said it would, put the price in writing before any work started, and actually stood behind what it installed. The first jobs were small, but the standard was set from day one. Word spread. Today, Alden Attic Insulation operates across California, with locations serving Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose, San Francisco, Fresno, Long Beach, Oakland, Anaheim, Riverside, Irvine, Santa Ana, and Chula Vista. Each location is independently owned and operated, but every single one works to the same standard: The Garrison Standard.

Bryce Holloway’s Personal Connection to the Insulation Trade

Bryce didn’t grow up dreaming about insulation. Nobody does. He got into construction because he liked working with his hands, and because he couldn’t stand the thought of sitting behind a desk all day. The insulation part came later, almost by accident. An older tradesman he worked alongside in those early years kept harping on one thing: most houses lose their heat through the top. The roof. The attic. It sounded obvious, but nobody treated it that way. Every other trade got respect, inspections, close attention. Insulation got whatever was left over.

So Bryce started paying attention to attics the way other people paid attention to finish carpentry. He noticed how different materials felt in his hands. Cellulose has a certain weight to it, a softness when you fluff it properly. Fiberglass batts have a spring you have to account for. Spray foam changes the whole feel of a space, the way sound moves through it. Over the years, he learned what good work smells like, too: a properly sealed attic after the job is done has no stale air, no draft, no evidence you were ever there except the difference in the room below.

What keeps him in the trade, after more than a decade of it, is the quiet satisfaction of making a home feel right. Not flashy. Not visible. Just right. Homeowners don’t stand in their living room admiring their attic insulation. They notice it when they stop thinking about the thermostat. They notice it in February when the heater isn’t running constantly. They notice it on their energy bill, month after month. That’s what gets Bryce out of bed: the idea that a job well done keeps working quietly for years, long after the truck has left. If he weren’t doing this, he’d probably be doing something else with his hands. Building furniture, maybe. Restoring something old. The kind of work where you can stand back at the end and say, that’s solid.

Meet Bryce Holloway – The Person Behind Every Job

Bryce Holloway is the Owner and Founder of Alden Attic Insulation. He’s been working in residential construction and insulation since 2002, which gives him more than two decades of hands-on experience with the way homes actually behave. Not in theory. In practice. He’s worked in tight attics, hot attics, attics with awkward trusses and attics that hadn’t been touched in fifty years. He knows the trade from the material up.

What separates Bryce from a corporate franchise technician is simple: the company carries his name and his standard. He’s the one who set The Garrison Code, and he’s the one who holds every location to it. He’s not a manager reading from a script. He’s a builder who set the rules and lives by them. Away from work, Bryce is a fisherman. Not the competitive kind. The kind who finds a quiet stretch of water, casts a line, and clears his head. There’s something about waiting on a bite that teaches patience, and patience shows up in his work. His personal commitment is direct: every job done under the Alden Attic Insulation name is a job he’s willing to put his own reputation behind.

Our Promise to Homeowners

We don’t do vague promises. We do specific ones, and we write them down. Before any work starts, you get a price in writing. Not an estimate that might change at the door. Not a range that drifts upward once the crew arrives. A written price that doesn’t move.

We show up inside the window we gave you. If we say the crew arrives between 9 and 11, they arrive between 9 and 11. We do the job by the book, the first time. No shortcuts, no “good enough.” We leave the site clean and squared away, like we were never there except for the work we did. And we stand behind the work for a full year, in writing. If it fails in that time, we come back and make it right at no charge. That’s not marketing language. That’s The Garrison Standard, and it applies to every Alden Attic Insulation location.

Our Credentials

  • State-licensed: Every pro working under the Alden Attic Insulation name is required to hold the license their state requires.
  • Insured & bonded: Every location carries the coverage homeowners should expect before letting anyone work in their home.
  • Founded in 2002: The company has been doing this work for more than two decades, through changing building codes and evolving materials.
  • Strong local reputation: Homeowners across California keep calling us back and referring neighbors, which is the reputation that matters most.

These credentials matter because insulation work happens in the parts of your home you don’t see every day. The attic, the crawlspace, the walls. You need to know the people working there are licensed, insured, and accountable. You need to know they’ll come back if something goes wrong. That’s what these credentials mean in practice.

Rooted in the Communities We Serve

Alden Attic Insulation is part of the Garrison Partners family of brands, and Garrison Partners doesn’t pretend to be from every town. Each location is an independent local business that agreed to work to The Garrison Standard. That’s the point. When you call Alden Attic Insulation, you’re connected with the local team nearest you, a crew that knows its own market and its own building codes. From Los Angeles to San Diego, San Jose to San Francisco, Fresno to Long Beach, Oakland to Anaheim, Riverside to Irvine, Santa Ana to Chula Vista, the same standard applies: show up on time, price in writing, do it right, leave it clean, stand behind it for a year.
