Insulation work is physical, technical, and matters more than most people realize. When a house is properly sealed and insulated, the family inside it stays warm in winter and cool in summer without running the HVAC into the ground. That’s the work. You crawl into attics, you read the space, you do it right the first time, and you leave the site clean. No guessing, no shortcuts, no leaving a homeowner to figure out what you actually did.
At Alden Attic Insulation, every job runs the same way regardless of who’s on the crew. The price is written before a single tool comes off the truck. The work is guaranteed for a full year in writing. The technician who shows up is background-checked and in uniform, arrives inside the window we gave, and leaves the site squared away. That’s The Garrison Standard, and it’s not optional.
If you want to work somewhere that has a real system, a crew that takes the trade seriously, and a name behind you that homeowners can trust, read on.
Who We’re Looking For
- Attic Insulation Technician – Someone who can read an attic, identify what’s there, and install new material cleanly and to spec – the core of what we do every day.
- Blown-In Insulation Installer – A detail-oriented installer who can operate blowing equipment, hit target depths, and work efficiently without sacrificing quality.
- Insulation Removal Specialist – A methodical worker who understands containment, debris handling, and why a clean removal is the foundation of a good install.
- Lead Technician / Crew Lead – An experienced hand who can read a job, manage a two- or three-person crew, and hold the team to the standard on every visit.
- Dispatcher / Scheduler – An organized, even-tempered person who can keep a full schedule running, communicate clearly with crews and homeowners, and solve problems without drama.
- Customer Service Representative – Someone who picks up the phone like they mean it, listens well, and gives homeowners a straight answer – we answer calls 24/7, so reliability matters here.
What We Offer
Real Training and a Clear Path
We don’t hand you a bag of equipment and point at an attic. New hires learn the material – blown-in products from Owens Corning, Johns Manville, Knauf, GreenFiber, and others – and the process before they run a job independently. As you build skill and consistency, there’s a path from apprentice to installer to lead. That progression is based on your work, not on how long you’ve warmed a seat.
Work You Can Stand Behind
The Garrison Standard means you’re not being pushed to cut corners to hit a number. The price is set before the job starts, so there’s no pressure to rush and upsell at the door. When you leave a job, the guarantee travels with it for a full year. You’re doing work you can put your name on, because the system is built to let you do it right.
Local Crew, National Backing
Each Alden Attic Insulation location is independently owned and operated – you’re working with a local crew that knows its market. But behind that crew is the Garrison Partners network, which means processes, materials, and standards that hold up anywhere. You get the accountability of a local job and the support of a brand that has been doing this since 2002.
Steady, Year-Round Demand
Insulation isn’t seasonal the way some trades are. Attics need attention in cold climates before winter, in hot climates before summer, and in mixed climates both. Homeowners schedule removal and reinstallation year-round, and the need doesn’t slow down when lumber prices spike or housing starts dip. This is a trade with consistent demand, and we stay busy because we do the work properly.
No Experience? Read This.
If you’ve worked in construction, HVAC, roofing, crawl space remediation, or any trade that involves getting into tight spaces and solving problems with your hands, more transfers than you’d think. You already understand job-site discipline, reading a space, and working alongside a crew that depends on you to pull your weight.
What we teach is everything specific to insulation: the materials – Rockwool, CertainTeed, Icynene, Demilec, and the rest of the lineup – what each one does, where it belongs, and how to install or remove it properly. We teach the blowing equipment, the safety protocols for working in attics, and how we document and close out a job to Garrison Standard.
The first months look like this: you’re paired with an experienced tech, you watch and assist, you ask questions, and you take on more as you’re ready. There’s no thrown-in-the-deep-end approach here. Bryce Holloway built this crew to bring people up the right way, and that’s how it stays.
